Madame de Montespan clock
Classic mantel clocks are made according to old Russian technologies of the 19th century from natural materials: bronze, malachite. Small bronze elements of the clock – decorative ornament, veins, twigs, leaves – are minted by hand.
In the manufacture of clockes, colossal manual labor is used to ensure that these products have the most textured pattern, similar to the natural one. The artist needs to repeat nature in a static material – bronze. After minting and processing, the bronze elements are covered with natural 24 carat gold.
Each stone has its own structure. The pattern of the stone is selected by the master so that the lines of the pattern smoothly pass from one to the other, creating the effect of a single stone. Each clock made is unique and may differ from the photographs presented on the site.
The clock case is made of a spectacular and original texture of natural malachite stone.
Clocks made in the technique of Russian mosaic are exhibited in many museums around the world as unique exhibits. The clock uses Hermle spring mechanisms with a classic beat or a melody that can be turned off. All clock models are subject to repair, they can be disassembled, cleaned and, if necessary, reassembled, giving them their original appearance.
The clock is unique in its execution, the plastic expressiveness of the sculpture can have a strong emotional impact.
