Lapis lazuli clock Butterflies gilding
The interior table clock is made according to old Russian technologies of the 19th century from natural materials: bronze, lapis lazuli. The bronze elements of the clock are made using the technology of manual casting into a mold.
For the production of each clock, colossal manual labor is used. The artist needs to repeat nature in a static material – bronze. After minting and processing, the bronze elements are plated with natural 24-carat gold.
Each stone has its own structure. The pattern of the stone is selected by the master in such a way that the lines of the pattern smoothly pass from one to the other, creating the effect of a single stone. Each clock made is individual and may differ from the photos presented on the site.
The clock case is made of natural material – lapis lazuli.
The items displayed in the Hermitage are made using the Russian mosaic technique. The clock uses classic reliable Citizen movements. All clock models are subject to repair, they can be disassembled, cleaned and, if necessary, reassembled, giving them their original appearance.
Table clocks produced by the Sentiabrev manufactory are unique items in a single copy.
